Devon Coast to Coast Cycle

Adventure Okehampton is sited midway on the Devon Coast to Coast cycle trail, at the beginning of the Granite Way section. We offer accommodation in a cycle-friendly environment.  Recognised by the Cycle Touring Club, we cater for cycling groups; we also have a cycle hire shop with a workshop as well as cycle sheds for overnight storage.  Accommodation is suitable for groups or individuals.  We also have a licensed cafe on site.

The Coast to Coast (National Trail 27 and 31) is a superb challenging route through some of Devon's loveliest countryside, from Ilfracombe on the North Devon coast, following the Tarka Trail along river valleys and estuaries, to the Granite way which skirts the flanks of Dartmoor, and down to the historic city of Plymouth. For much of the way it follows cycle ways built along the line of old railways (Tarka Trail, Granite Way, and the Plym Valley Trail) and in other sections takes minor roads, although there are plans to make more of the trail traffic-free).

Further information on the cycle route can be found on the Devon County Council web-site and the Sustrans Web-site.  Detailed maps for cycle routes in Devon can be downloaded from Devon County Council web-site.
