Get out and get active with our great weekend canoe expedition. We have great touring rivers on our doorstep, so open canoeing is fast becoming one of our most popular water sports. We lead you on a trip down the River Exe estuary, and full tuition is given, so no previous paddling experience is necessary! This trip allows you to see wild-life from the river with overnight camp at the Turf Locks camp site on the River Exe estuary. Tents and camping equipment supplied and taken direct to the campsite so no worries about getting your gear wet. There are a few ‘rapids’ to descend, to add to the excitement of the trip. Weekend course includes: • 1 night accommodation (Friday night) at YHA Okehampton • 1 night accommodation (Saturday night) at a camp site • Breakfast (Saturday/Sunday) • Packed lunch (Saturday/Sunday) • Evening Meal (Saturday) • Instructor for weekend • Full use of hostel facilities including games room (Friday night) • Use of the Canoe equipment and safety equipment • All camping equipment (although you are welcome to bring your own) • Delivery of bags/equipment to the campsite.
