Get active and hire a bike from Adventure Okehampton (YHA) for only £8.50 per day! Follow the Granite Way, straight from the hostel and go as far as Lydford.  We also have direct access onto the moors, so you can explore the Mountain Bike trails in Dartmoor National Park.

We use Giant bikes and have All Terrain Bicycles suitable for adults and children, trailer bikes and tow along trailers and for those wanting a real treat we also have a tandem bike.

The Granite Way (click here to download leaflet) is mostly built along the course of the former Southern Region railway line and is entirely off-road for 6miles/9kms between Okehampton and Lake Viaduct with additional off-road sections towards Lydford. The trail is ideal for families and those new to regular cycling.

We have a large fleet of modern 'Giant' branded all terrain bicycles suitable for all ages, we have tow along trailers for younger non cyclists and trailer bikes for those just learning, we also have a tandem bike.

We do not charge for the use of bike helmets or locks.

We do ask for a deposit to be left with us either car keys, drivers licence or a bank card which can be collected on return of the bikes.
